Born in the USA but a true world citizen in heart and soul, Carole Rowley has lived in London, New York, Los Angeles, and Paris! After studying at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Carole moved to Paris to perform in the European jazz clubs and festivals. She went on to work with many major artists from around the world. Carole has also produced 3 of her own CD's, one "World Beat", one "Contemporary Celtic", and one guitar based Pop/AAA.
As a singer she has toured or recorded with Van Morrison, The Art of Noise, Swing Out Sister, Go West, Toni Childs, Gabriel Yared (film composer who won an Oscar for "The English Patient") and Dave Stewart of Eurythmics, who signed Carole to a publishing deal with Anxious Music. She went on to sign with Warner Chappell Music Publishing in LA writing with Desmond Child(Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Ricky Martin, etc)amoung others. At the same time she continued to be in demand as a jingle singer, lending her voice to countless commercials for television and radio.
Carole has also recorded and performed with some of the most talented singers and musicians from the far corners of the earth: Baba Maal and Wasis Diop from Senegal, Jimmy M'baye, guitarist with Yousou N'dour, Hassan Hakmoud and Hossam Ramzy from Morocco and Egypt respectively, Kudsi Erguner from Turkey, Lukoa Kanza from the Congo, Amina Anabee from Tunisia, and Kasav from the Antilles Islands.
Carole's natural love and instinct for World and roots music took her to Peter Gabriel's prestigious Recording Week at his studios in Bath, England. Several collaborations as featured artist and writer are available on Real World Records. It gave her the chance to work alongside the likes of Jane Siberry, Massive Attack, Daniel Lanois, Micheal Brooks and Nigel Kennedy, among others. Following on from her meeting with there with Billy Cobham, she co-wrote and performed 3 tracks with him on his album The Traveler. Carole used the inspiration she found at Real World, where she also worked with Simon Emmerson, producer of the Afro Celts, to form a concept for her own CD. Co-produced by Simon, GARDEN OF THE SENSES is the result.

Not happy with being typecast in any one specific genre, Carole's second CD THE RIVER combines her love of Celtic and Classical music with her talent for contemporary song writing. For THE RIVER Carole collaborated with her friend Caroline Dale, a gifted cellist and arranger. They called on players such as guitarist Dominic Miller, well known for his work with Sting, and multi- instrumentalist James McNally on pipes and percussion, among others.
Caroline Dale has recorded or performed with Peter Gabriel, Sinead O'Connor, Simply Red, The Cure, Page and Plant, George Michael, the Indigo Girls, as well as with Classical performers such as Nigel Kennedy. She has been a solo artist on Virgin Classics, and is currently on EMI with her group Ghost Land. Caroline is a featured performer in the film music of composer Michael Kaman and can also be heard playing the role of Jacqueline Dupres in the movie Jackie and Hillary.

Returning to Europe after taking a sabbatical from the music industry and traveling widely throughout Africa, Carole went to back to Paris to write and record ANGELS IN DISGUISE. Her latest CD shows off yet another aspect of Carole's diverse musical personality. Forgoing the piano, she learnt the guitar, and arranged all her songs for guitar, bass and drums.

In between travels, when she's in Paris Carole guests with the house band on the popular live TV show "Nulle Part Ailleurs" which has included performing for daily broadcasts from the Cannes Film Festival for Canal +. She was interviewed with Sting and performed a duo with Senegalese artist Wasis Diop on "Taratata", a show dedicated entirely Sting and his guests.
As an aside for any of you Francophiles, she has recorded or toured with a variety of French artists such as Francis Cabrel, Mylene Farmer, Alain Souchon, Veronique Sanson, Marc Lavoine,etc….
Her latest "work in progress" is a new take on everyone's favorite Jazz standards with Glenn Patcha arranger, composer and pianist (Daniel Lanois, Marianne Faithful, and Lou Reed).
As for the rest of her life,she's an avid adventurer and travels constantly. There's also a new project which is particularly close to her heart She has established a charity called POSITIVE Africa which hopes to raise funds for orphans of the Aids Crisis in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa.
